topped the New York (AL) Yankees by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
 
Adam Plutko(1-0) was solid in relief, and he got credit for the win.  He went
1 inning allowing no hits and 1 walk dropping his ERA from 3.00 to 2.25.  New
York (AL) had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
 
Paul Fry earned his 1st save.  Andrew Heaney(0-1) was tagged with the loss.
He struck out 8 batters in 5 and 2/3 innings despite losing the game.
