J.D. Martinez cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Boston Red Sox defeated
the Baltimore Orioles 6 to 4 at Camden Yards.

Martinez had a big day against Baltimore. He bombed a two-run dinger in the
1st inning, slapped a base-hit in the 2nd inning and lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' in the 6th inning. Baltimore was retired without difficulty in
the bottom of the 9th.

The win went to Eduardo Rodriguez(1-0) who allowed 4 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Rodriguez got relief help from Josh Taylor who gained credit for his
1st save. Jorge Lopez(0-2) was given the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls
in 3 and 2/3 innings.

'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Rodriguez said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't
put the ball where I wanted it.'
